Was gossiping with Daniel while eating @ the famous Boon Lay nasi lemak store... den he mentioned about this realli happening thing that happened @ NUS recently... seems some daring guy, with the help of his lecturer.. actualli professed his love to a gal called Cuiwen.. in full view of the classmates, at the lecture hall... and the whole process was video recorded!!

It became such a sensation, that the gal became famous overnight, her blog publicised, and almost everyone @ NUS knew who she was.... Dun believe, go to Yahoo and search by "cuiwen blog" and see the results.............

Like what some pple say, i thought such things only happen in the movies.. and it reminds me of "The Sassy Girl"..... anyway, i realli applaud that guy's courage....... but then..

In the end he did not get the response that he hoped for from the girl........... seems the girl was realli pissed, agitated and embarrassed by the incident.. and there were some brainless pple who flamed the poor guy.... but hey,

GIVE THAT MAN A BREAK!!!

Look, Singapore women always say that we Singapore men are unromantic, unsexy, boring and hardly do anything special or surprising ....... but hey, when we did do something that requires a HUGE amount of courage and guts, trying to impress the gals we liked, some get angry over it.... yes, it can be v embarrassing and they can get unwanted attention and fame overnight .... but hey, think from the guys' perspective, and the gals should know that such confessions are realli not easy..... and that embarrassment realli happens more to that guy instead of the gal........ getting angry ? maybe, but think abt it for some time, and maybe they should feel honoured that some guys actualli did so much for them.... such incidents dun happen everyday u know.......

Haiz....... this reminds me of 1 particular incident that happened years back....... 11 years ago, to be exact............. ok, so there was this guy who liked a fellow classmate, and he was thinking of a way to confess to her... so he came up with a plan :

1. Find out where she lives
2. Buy her a gift and give it to her before D-day ( this is to give her an idea that he likes her)
3. Confess to her near her home.. a few days after she got the gift

So, one fine day after school... he and his friend first followed that girl home, and knew where she lived. After that, he bought a special pen-holder, hand-wrapped it, put a rose on it......... and personally gave it to her as a gift.... on CNY eve (damn..)
He den decided that D-day would be the following Sat, since he knows she would attend volleyball sessions every Sat morning.......... so on that fateful day, he went to her block early in the morning, waited and waited..... till he saw her come out from her house...

He was extremely nervous, and thought of just giving up on the spot.. but he also knew.. that it was too good a chance to miss.......... He den saw her about to enter the lift............... so, without thinking..... he ran down the stairs and rushed into the lift as well...

"wo xi huan ni" aka " i like u" was the only words that he could utter....... but the gal just kept quiet..... and dint move.......... until the lift door opened...........

And SHE RAN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ahhhh............. ok, by now all of u should know that that idiot was me........ it was realli a bad move, as b4 this, i hadn't realli got to know her better... and i also gave the idea that i was stalking her...... but hey, i was only 14 at that time! Nonetheless, it was such a bad experience, that since then, i never confessed to the gals i liked......... haiz, guess its becos the thought of rejection, especially that incident, would always be in my mind....

Well, at least the gal still talked to me, and we became friends... guess she admired my foolish courage !! lol

Anyway, just 1 advice to the gals out there : accept such confessions at least with grace.. be honoured that someone is risking rejection and "face" just to confess to u..... if the 2 of u cant be a couple, at least u could still be friends right ?

and one advice to that guy : hmmm..... PLAN BETTER ? and be mentally prepared to face the music...........


(PS: why dun such gals try confessing to the guys for a change, huh ?? only den will they understand how hard such things can be..)
