i just feel i have to let everyone hear abt this incident that happened while on my way home on the mrt.....
I was on the crowded mrt as usual.. and doing the extraordinary feat of sleeping while standing.. when suddenly i was awaken from my sleep by someone at the other end of the cabin..who was scolding at the top of her voice.. for a moment i tot this China woman was scolding someone on her mobile.. until i realised she was actualli scolding at a young lady for knocking into her.. she kept scolding her and she went on and on.. while everyone else was just looking on.. until someone came to the helpless lady's rescue by trying to reason with the mad woman.. and guess wat... he is a China man... whom is a complete stranger to both persons.. in the end the mad woman kept quiet and later the lady just got off the train.. weeping away...
Suddenly it got me thinking... i used to discriminate Mainland Chinese and indians.. and all the more so, when i saw how uncivilised the mad woman was.. but when i saw how in front of so many other Singaporeans, this China man just stood up for the lady.. i was stunned, yet impressed and i admired the man for it....
That's the problem with Singaporeans.. they just loved to mind their own businesses.. and see a "free" show.. and i bet no one would help even if the mad woman starts to get violent...
There was once i was inside Boat Quay's coffee bean.. and i saw with my own eyes how a group of skinny ah bengs beat up a poor fellow infront of the crowd outside coffee bean.. and no one helped.. until a Foreigner came to shield the fellow from the rest.. i mean cmon, surely someone could have shouted " police come liao" or something to scare off the ah bengs.. but everyone else just sat on their chairs ..... as though nothing happened.....
I was pissed off... yet again.. i guess this happens in every country.. haiz

Just a point to add : I know pple will ask why i dint offer any help instead, since i can say these things... but in the first case, i was in the crowded mrt, and the incident happened from the other end of the cabin.. i dunnoe who is rite or wrong... how to help ?? i oni knew more details after the China Man helped to reason with the woman..
in the 2nd case.. i was INSIDE coffee bean.. and the fighting happened OUTSIDE... i oni knew more, after i heard shouting and the foreigner had came to help the poor kid....


Singaporeans maybe good at many things..... but they will NEVER be good at standing up for one another... even if it is within their means......
